During the eth0:summer, a sneak preview of the upcoming plans was presented. In the months following, the concept was worked out in more detail: Hx2 (Hack Square) is a large square surrounded by tents for hackerspaces from the BeNeLux, the eth0 lounge, Awesome Retro, the Hardware Hacking Tent and the Binary voice and Signal radio studio. On the square we find tables with benches and sunshades. In the middle are a number of professional barbeques, for use by all the participants. Layout of the Hack Square Diggie went pro with sketchup and we now have a Hx2 Layout proposal for the Hack Square. What is Chaos Communication Camp The Chaos Communication Camp is an international, five-day open-air conference for hackers in Finowfurt (near Berlin, Germany) organized by the famous CCC and is much like HAR2009 that was held in The Netherlands in 2009. Ticket prices start at 140 Euro during the presale. Due to time constraints Hx2 will not run its own Camp ticket shop. You should get your tickets at the Camp 2011 ticket shop CCC Wiki and Posters There are poster-bundles for hackerspaces available for hx2 hackerspaces. Get them while they're hot. The website of the event can be found here. How to bring your projects to the Camp: Hx2 Truck We plan to arrange for 2 transport trucks to move all the gear to the camp. Just like with the Hx2 Bus we like to know where projects are located that need pickup and return and the weight and dimensions of the cargo is going to be. 2 Routes : one through NL and one through BE Leave on <to be announced> of August, arrive in the early evening Return <to be announced> of August, arrive in the afternoon or evening Preregister for the Hx2 Truck can be done here Hardware Hacking Tent There will be workshops all day and all night throughout Camp at the Hardware Hacking Tent! Learn to solder! Learn to play with Arduinos! Make things! Fix things! Everyone welcome -- all ages and all skill levels (including total newbies!)!
